I have tried different stuff from MAC and would keep you posted in the future too. Up till now I have written my reviews on two foundations from MAC, the studio fix fluid, and the pro longwear foundation that were truly splendid. So, I decided to give Studio Sculpt foundation a shot too, here is my review about it. I have another MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation dupe to share with you! The next shade up on the dupe list is “NC20”, a light beige with neutral golden undertones for light skin (neutral-cool). After comparing several swatches, I have found a list of alternative shades for this cult-favorite foundation. Let’s begin the dupes! MAC NC15 is described by the brand as 'Fair with golden undertone for fair skin.' It is a shade in the Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 range, which is a liquid foundation with a matte finish and medium-full coverage that retails for $30.00 and contains 1 oz.
Mac Studio Fix Foundation
Buying foundation is such a hit or miss thing for me. Somehow I always end up with a shade that’s completely wrong for me. And then I discovered this fantastic megathread at r/MakeupAddiction where the makeup aficionados there listed all the popular foundation shades that matched their skin tones.
I wanted to make that super useful resource easier to use, so I’ve extracted the shade info from the thread and sorted it by MAC shade.
The full list contains all the MAC shades.
Enjoy!

Apologies for my absence lately! I’ve started my second semester at college and I’ve been trying to get myself organised! I’m back with a post reviewing two of the MAC foundations I’ve been trying recently, Studio Sculpt and Studio Fix Fluid.
The first one I tried was Studio Sculpt. I told the girl working at the counter that I wanted a foundation with good coverage and one that was suitable for oily skin. I wasn’t surprised that I was the lightest shade they had which was nc15. After trying it for about a week, I thought that the foundation didn’t really last that well on my skin. I decided to do more research and found that the foundation contained oil which is why it practically slid off my face by the end of the day. The foundation does have a really good coverage and looks beautiful on the skin but by the end of the day, if you have oily skin you will notice it looking very shiny. It contains SPF 15 which is always an added bonus. This retails at MAC counters in Ireland for €36.50.

This is by far my favourite foundation of the two. It is absolutely perfect for oily skin. I decided the best way to test this out after buying it was to wear it to college, on one of the days I’m up at 6am. That way I’d be able to see how well it lasts after being on my skin for about 15-16 hours! I got this in the shade nc20 this time and it matches my skin when I have a little bit of tan on. It definitely holds up on the skin and I found that the oils don’t come through at all so it definitely stays matte all day long. This foundation also contains SPF 15. On the Brown Thomas website, nc20 is the lightest shade so if anyone knows if they do lighter shades in store can you let me know as I bought the bottle I’m currently using from the MAC counter in Liverpool. This retails in Ireland for €31.50.
Please let me know what your favourite foundations at MAC are or in general!
